The Tanzania Startup Association (TSA) is looking for both Local and International Volunteers to support the efforts of the team in advocating for a conducive business environment for startups in Tanzania.
Tanzania Startup Association (TSA), is a legally registered Not-for-Profit umbrella organisation representing 687 startup companies in Tanzania. TSA aims to facilitate, organise, and mobilise stakeholders to advocate and lobby for improving policy, legal and regulatory environments that support the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of startups in Tanzania. So far, our startup ecosystem has created at least 112,119 jobs in 2023, a considerable improvement compared to traditional businesses. Additionally, Tanzanian startups attracted 205.6 million USD in Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) over the past four years
By sharing your knowledge, skills, experiences and expertise, you will be contributing to the TSA’s efforts in advocating and lobbying for a conducive business environment for startups to grow and scale in Tanzania. We are looking for professionals in areas of program management, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilisation, policy and research, events management, business development, product design and development, software development, branding and designing, communications and partnerships, sales and marketing, and innovation development.
Visa and Permits: The volunteer will work under a business visa which costs $250. The TSA will provide an invitation letter to facilitate you to secure this visa.
Accommodation: The cost of accommodation ranges from $250 to $500 per month depending on the choice.
Transport: Both public and private means of transport are available.
Office: Our office is located in the TAN House Tower, 9th Floor at Ursino South Street along the New Bagamoyo Road in Dar es Salaam.
